Daddy's Girls:

I finally was able to use my apple die cut paper by KI Memories. I love it paired with the green. The polka dot pp is from Hobby Lobby (the $.29 kind) and the title are Pink Paislee alphas. Notice: the yellow hand stitched rectangle behind the picture. Oh! and isn't DH handsome?

Bowling!

There is a bowling alley in the basement of Wichita State U's student center so from the first day I told them... The girls have been begging me to take them. I took the time (while their balls were s...l...o...w...l...y rolling down the lane) to take some pics:

Check out Kayla's face!?!? HA HA HA
Photobucket

yeah, emily literally sat on the ground to bowl! But... hey.... it worked!
Photobucket

Kayla did the "whole body bowling" thing where she held the ball in her arms, swiveled to the right then swiveled to the left and let it drop with a gigantic THUD and roll....
Photobucket

The final score, can you believe it was that close?? They both had a few spares and emily even got a strike!

Birthday Flower

This card turned out so fantastic!! Not sure the post office is going to appreciate that uber thick flower but it is so gorgeous they're just going to have to deal. LOL. I made the flower myself and it is my favorite one yet!!

Hello.

This is a card for someone I love deeply. She and her hubby just "down sized" their home. She was bummed about it so I wanted to send her an especially bright card to let her know I was thinking of her...

Flying Hearts

I am in love with this card! I used my princess card from last week (see older post) as a "map". I love the distressed edges, the turned up corner, the rolled up corners of the vellum and the stickles covered heart with the wings that stick up off the card. This is an anniversary card for a scrappy friend.

Happy 2nd Bday Jakob!

Jakob is Jared's cousin. He will be turning 2 at the end of this month. I just picked up this super cute race car paper and used some ribbon out of my stash. Here's a pic of Jakob with my girls (they ADORE him):

and his card:

Don't you love these Creative Cafe rub-ons?? and the car is cut out of the same pp:

Happy 2nd Bday Jakob!!

Manly Card

HA HA! I always have a hard time making cards for men. So when I had to make a card for Jared's Uncle... I went to the LSS and found this pp that looks like the diamonds on a metal toolbox. Then I used my Cricut and Microsoft Word to do the title. A few eyelets and layered paper finished the look.

Happy Easter

We were Blessed with such an amazing Easter weekend. We had a powerful Church service (visit www.aviatorchurch.com to watch a webcast of the message) and tons of fun. Here are Emily and Kayla's pics with the Easter Bunny (we saw him at the Zoo!!):

and to complete the monkey theme.... posing with a chimpanzee statue at the zoo!

I hope your Easter was just as wonderful. God is good, all the time.

TWELVE Layer Cake

In honor of Easter I spent HOURS making a 12 layer cake. Yep, 12 individually baked layers smother in chocolate ganache. I saw this cake on Bakerella and knew I had to try it!

The layers, baked and ready to be frosted:

After a few layers and frosting:

She's right, they sure do drip!!
Photobucket

At this point I was a proud baking momma! I couldn't wait to cut in and see the layers!
Photobucket

Well, I did end up waiting until Easter to cut into this gorgeous cake. And it was SO worth it!! Here's a slice:
Photobucket

This is the cake sliced, look at those layers!!
Photobucket

And I was so pleased that it tasted just as good as it looked!! We ended up eating half the cake (mind you, there were 8 of us!):

If you have never been to the Bakerella blog, you HAVE TO GO! She makes the coolest/funniest/silliest/yummiest things!

**Thank you Adrienne for staying up until the wee morning hours and web-camming with me while I made this cake. You definately made it more fun!! **

Photobucket

LOL...ok, enough pictures. I get carried away. TFL!! :o)

Daddy's Girl

This is the LO I have been promising. LOL. Well, one of them. This is made using the Cosmo Cricket "Happily Ever After" line. I love all of the distressing and the layers. I used a grey sharpie for the journaling and the "doodles".

Big Kid Ride - sneak peak

Another sneak peak!! I received an awesome envelope in the mail from Adrienne. It had pp from American Crafts (yay, love them!) and these really cool felt shapes. I have been drooling over all things felt lately but have nothing. I did buy a few sheets of felt and have been cutting out my own stuff.... but it's just not the same.

So I had to play with it ASAP, of course! I created a really bright, fun LO using FIVE pictures. This is for Sara's challenge on Tally. I'll get pics soon. But for now, here's a couple of sneak peaks:

ps.... thank you Adrienne! YOU ROCK!!

Daddy's Girl - sneak peak

This is a sneak peak at the LO I created over the weekend. I still haven't gotten a nice photo of it so I am waiting until the light gets better. Hopefully Spring will come out of hiding and we'll see Sunshine and NO WIND soon. Until then, here's your peak:

Congratulations Annabelle!!

This card is for my buddy Annabelle who just had her second little girl, Sophia! The inside of the card will read "congratulations on the newest princess in your castle". The card was made using the "Fairest of them all" line from Imaginisce. The button is Creative Cafe and the ribbon is Making Memories. This card is also my entry for the current Caardvarks "fantasy" challenge!

Photobucket

I also finished a LO using the Ever After line by Cosmo Cricket. I'll get pics as soon as I can and upload them in the next few days. :o)

all fixed & a new address

as you can see.... my sidebar is full! yay! I hope I NEVER loose that again!! :o)

The big news of the day... I have a new blog address!! Make sure to save it again (sorry!):

http://www.noodle-and-bean.blogspot.com/

Wanna know why i chose this name? the answer is "hidden" on my blog. Look carefully. First person to figure it out and post a comment on this post gets a RAK from me (a small but rockin' one!).

UUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

I redid my blog (like the new background and header?) and it deleted my ENTIRE side bar. GRRR. So I will work on that in the next few days. *sigh* don't you love technology??

Story Time!

This is for a challenge at Tally that ends tomorrow. The challenge was pretty much to scrap a LO using "Story time" in the title. Not much to say about it, just glad to have got that super cute pic scrapped. Also glad to use some of that old pp I have tucked away (I bought this pp years ago!). Here it is:
