This is for a challenge at Tally that ends tomorrow. The challenge was pretty much to scrap a LO using "Story time" in the title. Not much to say about it, just glad to have got that super cute pic scrapped. Also glad to use some of that old pp I have tucked away (I bought this pp years ago!). Here it is:

We are Gnomies
And THIS is the LO Adrienne made of ME!
here is her discription on Tally:
OH this was sooooooooooooo much fun! Erin is officially my best friend.
We talk on messenger and web cam each other all the time.
We 'virtually' crop together and its sooooo fun.
I used the queen song, you're my best friend!
In rain or shineyou've stood by me girl!
I'm Happy!
You're my best friend!
Oh yeah, per her request...
"Make it bad ass, and include something about gnomes..."
And I LOVE it. Thanks Adrienne!!!

Brighty, Sunshiney Day!
Here's the full LO about Sara! I finally got some *decent* pics of it today. I couldn't go outside because we have half a foot of snow and ice on our front steps! GRRRR. But I opened the door up and let the sunshine (yay!) flood in.
Here's the description I wrote on Tally:
I chose to scrap Sara (suzuyuki. I have been digging her LOs lately and I have several in my Tally Treasure. When I thought about what reminded me of her and her bright personality... I instantly thought of sunshine! So I chose the song "Bright, Sunshiney Day!"
The background pp (lime green damask) is by Pink Paislee. The yellow alphas are Thickers (altered with yellow ink, black sharpie and white galaxy marker). There's tons of yellow pearls on the title and her name. The "sun shiney" is covered in Stickles. The cloud under her name is cut from felt and edges with sky blue ink. Her name is Jenni Bowlin and the yellow polka dot ribbon is from the $1 spot at Target. There's lots of hand stitching on the rays of the sun and around her pic. I layered a second yellow ribbon on top of the first for a bit of depth. Finally, her pic is raised up with some adhesive foam squares.
I hope you like it Sara!!

sneak peak
A challenge was recently posted at Tally asking you to pick a Tally friend and scrap them. Adrienne picked me and did an AWESOME job. I am hoping she will let me post the LO on my blog so it might be here soon. Someone had already chosen Adrienne so I decided to pick someone else... Sara! She is the one that I "scrap lifted" for that Silly Smooches LO and I love her scrappy style. Another part of the LO was that you had to pick a song that sort of "represents" them.
Tonight i am going to post a sneak peak of the LO (which is 6x12... my first one ever!). Tomorrow (when I can take a better pic) I will post the LO and which song I chose. Woot! Also, tomorrow I do the big reveal of Adrienne's LO about me!

Say Yes to the Dress
This is a LO based on the sketch challenge at Leading a Craftastic Life. Kristin is a fellow Tally Gal and I knew I wanted to do this challenge as soon as she posted it. These pics are from September-ish. This is my sister in law, Janna while she was trying on wedding dresses. I took WAY too many pics but they turned out SO well. too bad I need a new camera. Poor camera, it's pooping out on me. I think I am using it to death... literally. Check out Kristin's blog to see the sketch and to make an entry of your own. Did I mention she has an AWESOME RAK up for grabs?? yep... go look....
I LOVE the way the title turned out:
see the little boquet that was tossed??
The journaling:
and the stickles circle surrounding her laughing pic. This isn't THE dress, btw. But it was "the shrug" LOL. Her dress had more sparkle at the top.... It was GORGEOUS (they were married Dec 20th):
Here's a pic from the wedding:
like the cake? thanks, I made it!!! :o)

altered gum package
You know those "sugar free" gum commercials CONSTANTLY on The Biggest Loser. Well, I have been chomping away, trying to be a big loser myself! So I have tons of these boxes hanging around and I knew for sure I wanted to do something with them. I love how sturdy they are and that they have that little latch thing. So I played with my stuff from the March Kit at 2SCD and turned it into a gift box (The keychain is also hand made and available in my etsy store, click the cupcake on the right):

Pink Paislee Transparency
This is a LO for the DT search at Tally. This is my third LO (the other two were "Silly smooches" and "walk about").
This LO was made using a Pink Paislee transparency. This is my first EVER experience with a transparency! It was really fun but next to impossible to photograph! LOL. Here it is:
I used some of my left over Pink Paislee pp to roll these little tubes. It took FOREVER but I think it was worth it:
and
and here's my stubby hand trying to show you it's clear:
and a few more details:

Fish Face
I scrap-lifted this LO from... myself! It's sorta like the "Silly Smooch" one listed last week but I had lots of fun making it. I know that it is hard to see but behind "face" as some of the orange mesh from the January Tally Kit. The letters are Thickers, the owls are American Crafts and the polka dot is Dream Street Papers.
from the sides, check out the hand-sewn detail and the mesh behind the Thickers:
And the little American Crafts owls that I have fallen in love with!

Orange/Green challenge
First, I am so frustrated with my camera! My pictures are so washed out and blurry. Nothing I change on the settings seem to help. Grrrr....
Moving on.... this LO is my example for this week's challenge at 2SCD. The challenge is to use two colors you don't normally use... for me this means Orange and Green. Partway into creating this LO i realized it was taking on a very 50's vibe so I went with it and added the owl rub-ons. I {heart} owls! Here's the LO:
This shows some of the detail, including the paper ruffle:

Silly Smooch
This has always been one of my favorite pictures of Emily and Kayla. It was taken about 2 years ago at Wal Mart. We were just trying to "fill up our poses" (you know how they make you do like a bazillion shots just to buy the one?) and I told Kayla to kiss Emmy. This is what happened!
Almost everything on here is American Crafts (except the scallop and the ribbon). This LO is so bright and cheery! This LO was inspired by a layout on Tally by Suzuyuki! Thank you for the great inspiration!!

Kelly
This is for my little sis, Kelly (she's almost 30, LOL). I made the flower using scraps from the other projects (below) and hand made the wings. The oval I cut on my cricut and hand-sewed embroidery floss around the edge. The wings are edges in blue stickles (*sigh* I love stickles). The letters are from Hobby Lobby. :o)

Walkabout LO
This is my favorite of all of the things I have made in the past few days! I am absolutely in love with this LO. The die cut paper in back (the brown swirly one) is from the March Kit. The background is a piece of cardboard (the kind they stick in your bag at the scrappy stores to keep you from bending your papers), the deer is sass lass and the journaling tag thing is My Minds Eye. I hand stitched the brown border (switched to an angle stitch over the strip of blue) and added some of the distressed stickles from the march kit around the die cut to make it pop. Oh! and the brown letters are also from the March kit (they are made by Basic Grey) but I doodled around them with my white pen to make them stand out a little better.

Mini Album with Mark's Paper Co
I am addicted to mini albums. It's no secret. I love that I can put 15 pictures all in one spot. This is one that I created using the 2SCD March Kit featuring Marks Paper Company. All of the pictures are from '98-'01 while I was in college in Portland, Oregon (Warner Pacific College):
